National Parks

Rocky Mountain National Park is my home park, at only 45 minutes away. I love going there in the winter when there are fewer crowds!

White Sands National Park is a unique, dog-friendly park in New Mexico. It features the largest gypsum dunes in the world!

My first desert backpacking experience--from water scarcity to navigation challenges, it was a (beautiful) learning experience!

This park is stunning and receives a fraction of the traffic, making for a great experience regardless of the time of year.

Car camping in the Badlands was amazing. From mountain goats to thunderstorms, it was an experience to remember.

The best sunrise I've ever seen while backpacking was in Joshua Tree National Park. It's an incredible place to visit in January!

Backpacking the Grand Canyon in March meant everything from 80 degree temps to snow in the same overnight trip.  

The Needles District is a hidden gem. May was the perfect time of year for a backpacking overnight.

A highly underrated park, the Great Sand Dunes is an amazing place to explore and is one of the more dog-friendly parks available.

December was the perfect time of year to go backpacking in Big Bend. The South Rim Loop has stunning views.
